Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a seaside resort in north Yorkshire, approximately 12 miles east of Middlesbrough.

Saltburn by the Sea has retained much of its original charm as a Victorian seaside resort, including its pier, many victorian buildings, the colourful Italian Gardens and walks through Riftswood.

Saltburn also has the oldest water balanced cliff tramway in Britain, the Saltburn tramway, linking the town with the pier 120 feet below.

Saltburn Folk Festival, held in August each year, is a much-acclaimed festival of folk music, dance and song, which is attracts visitors from across the globe.
