Skipton

Known as the "Gateway to the Dales", Skipton is a local centre for tourism, commerce and education. Visitor attractions include the historic castle; the high street market (held Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday); and the area round the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. A farmers market is held on the first Sunday of every month in the Canal Basin area of Coach Street.
